Meet the Team

Teja Smith has spent the last decade combatting social justice and political awareness via social media by building campaigns that impact Black and Brown communities across the country. Her contributions to #SchoolsNotPrisons, #RockTheVote, and other organizations have helped shape the country we live in today. Teja enjoys tying in political topics to hip-hop culture and making the content relatable. She created Get Social as an outlet for women of color to make their voices heard. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son, attending festivals and vacationing across the world.

After attaining her BFA and MFA, Alejandra has spent the last decade of her art and design career devoted to women-led initiatives across Latin America.  This experience has been vital to the work she now produces as the graphic designer at Get Social, where she is particularly passionate about projects centered on social justice. Proud to be a part of this WOC team, she enjoys weekends full of market trips, preparing home-cooked meals, and pueblo-hopping in her current home of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Asia Henderson graduated from Bradley University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in Women & Gender Studies. Originally from Alaska, Asia currently lives in Illinois with her husband Laurence, and their two sons, Kai and Remi. As the daughter of a first-generation immigrant, she is personally passionate about immigration rights and rehabilitation for the homeless.

Moriah De Los Santos-Moore holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with a minor in Spanish from Loyola Marymount University. Her passion for social justice and human rights stems from her diverse volunteer experiences and active participation in parliamentary debate. At LMU, she furthered her commitment to service through Ignatians and now champions awareness on the Get Social Team, reaching millions through social media. Originally from Oakland, California, Moriah now resides in Los Angeles, where she focuses on raising awareness, particularly within the entertainment industry, while enjoying the LA sunshine.

Niqué Santos is a Bay Area native and works as a Social Media Assistant, with her expertise in creating engaging and interactive content for social media platforms, it has grown to help the social media community to connect with our clients. She currently resides in the Bay Area with her 2 year old son, Jace. In her free time, Niqué enjoys cooking, singing, and spending time with her son. Niqué is very passionate about being part of an all WOC team. She hopes that the work being done by the Get Social team will help more people learn, engage in, and acknowledge the importance of social justice.

Celina Poma is a Graphic Designer based in Lancaster, CA. She is a recent graduate from California State University, Northridge, with a degree in Communication Design. Celina’s creative journey has been shaped by her passion for design and a commitment to making a positive impact. She is proud to work with a WOC team that shares her values, and aims to contribute her skills to projects that promote inclusivity and celebrate diversity.

Jocelyne Castro graduated in 2016 from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors degree in Film. She is driven by her passion for storytelling with a commitment to creating impactful content that resonates with audiences. Her work transcends mere visuals, aiming to amplify voices and shed light on pressing social issues. She resides in Los Angeles but when she's not behind the editing desk, Jocelyne can be found exploring new cultures, drawing inspiration from her travels to infuse her work with fresh perspectives and insights.

Riya is medical student at UT Southwestern pursuing a MD/MPH. Her interests include community health care, resource accessibility, women's health and reproductive justice, and patient advocacy. She hopes to use her skills in pre-hospital patient care and data analysis to work towards helping those in the Dallas area.
